Making Cities Resilient:
My City is Getting Ready

MCR Campaign Advocates

Advocates are Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) practitioners and experts who, on a voluntary basis, support the MCR Campaign in promoting the objectives and principles of the Campaign and provide technical assistance for local resilience building, primarily in the country or region of their residence.  Advocates play an active role in advancing the Campaign objectives and promote urban disaster resilience together with campaign partners, public and private institutions, local and national authorities and UN agencies.

There have been 40 Advocates supporting the Campaign between 2010-2020 from advocating on local DRR with mayors and local leaders, promoting the use of Disaster Resilience Scorecard for Cities, supporting cities in developing DRR strategies, among others.
