Ms. Castorina Lopez is the President of the National Organization “Women United for a Better Community”. The Organization focuses on the awareness development regarding gender issues. Furthermore, it addresses the issues of land rights and housing, disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change. Since 2012 Ms. Castorina Lopez has been actively promoting the Campaign.
Campaign Activities-
Supported the launch of the first resilient city in the High Andes Chocos District.

Organized meetings related to DRR good practice exchange in the Province of Yauyos in Lima Region.

Organized meetings in the San Martin Region to promote the campaign and Self-Assessment Tool as well as to help capacity building efforts within the region

Organized DRR good practice exchange between the local governments of Morales and La Banda de Shilcayo and the local government of Manaus and Itatiba from Brazil.
