Ms Caro Illarazza has more than 15 years of experience in Disaster Risk Reduction.
In 2000 attended workshops organized by Network of Social Studies in the Prevention of Disasters in Latin America (LARED).
Coordinated project on strengthening environmental education within local authorities and NGOs.
In partnership with UN-Habitat coordinated Urban Management Program (PGU) in Venezuela.
Managed the establishment of Local Network for Disaster Risk Reduction in 8 regions in Venezuela.
Currently coordinating the project “Planning for Disaster Prevention” in 8 municipalities in Venezuela. The project is financially helped by the European Union.
Coordinating the training program “Together in sorrow” on psychosocial care in crisis situation.
Campaign Activities-
Promoted the campaign across Local Governments, Universities, Chambers of Commerce and at various national and international events.
