   Disaster reduction activities in the field of El Niño, climate change and variability (Theme of WG1)
   Early Warning (Theme of WG2)
   The quantification of risk, vulnerability and impact of disasters (Theme of WG3)

5. Discussion of the Draft Framework for the implementation of the Strategy

Under this Agenda item, the Task Force will consider the Draft Framework prepared by the ISDR Secretariat on the basis of comments from the Task Force and other interested parties.

Under this Agenda item, the ISDR Secretariat will introduce the following Focus Papers, which the Task Force had requested the ISDR Secretariat to prepare:
   The application of science and technology in disaster prevention
    Talking Points for Presentation Focus Paper 1: Mainstreaming of Disaster Reduction into Sustainable Development
  and National Planning
   Mainstreaming disaster reduction in sustainable development
   Strengthening institutional capacity in developing countries
