Arab regional partnership meeting

The 3rd Arab Partnership meeting for Disaster Risk Reduction will be held in Geneva, Switzerland on 13-14 May 2019 taking the opportunity of the 6th session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the same venue. The two days meeting will focus on updating governments and stakeholders on the progress in DRR in the region post Africa Arab Regional Platform and will provide an opportunity for governments and partners to discuss the way forward for the region in implementing the Sendai Framework.

The first day will provide an opportunity for Arab Stakeholder groups to update on their progress and future plans towards the implementation of the voluntary action statements. The second day will bring together governments and stakeholders to deliberate on progress, challenges and the way forward towards achieving Target E of the Sendai Framework by 2020.
