This session is a demonstration and explanation of techniques for resilience used in the field, after natural disasters worldwide in vast cultural settings (e.g., Japan, China, Iran, Africa, USA, Haiti, Sint Maarten) to support communities, and achieve sustainability and address both immediate and long-term emotional sequealue, with a focus on children. Presented in the context of the Sendai Framework and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. A train-the-trainers model that can be applied immediately on low resource settingsemphasizes the importance of people-centered approach, and addressing vast emotional sequealae suported by research.
