The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 places ‘Disaster risk governance’ as one of its four priorities for action. The OECD has focused its support of governments in achieving the goals of the Sendai Framework on risk governance challenges. This Ignite presentation will illustrate how close cooperation between OECD and the Kingdom of Morocco has strengthened the institutional framework to implement disaster risk management policies. It will show how government investment in the capacity to collaborate across government and to partner with non-government stakeholders, enhances the capacity of all to prevent, mitigate, prepare, respond, recover and rehabilitate.
