Children are commonly identified as one of the most vulnerable groups in a community. Thus, they should be equipped with the capacity to know, understand and apply safety and protection mechanisms to build the foundation of their resilience. This session reports on a yearly activity carried out in schools to map hazards in around their premises. One of the main goals of the school watching and hazard mapping is to get a maximum representation of students taking part in the DRRM initiative. In order to ease the implementation of the initiative the SWApp mobile application is used.
