Despite their critical role in DRR, the current availability, state of operation, investment in, and benefits of FEWS, challenges their future globally, as well as their contribution to achieving the global agendas of the SFDRR and SDGs. This session focuses on addressing these issues by conducting an online survey consisting of questions on all the components of FEWS, investments, operational effectiveness benefits and challenges of distribution to the flood forecasting and warning centres across the globe.
