Learning from nature: indigenous knowledge induced flood early warning in Nepal

This presentation intends to show how communities in eastern and western Nepal combine the use of indigenous knowledge and technical early warning systems to alert them to the occurrence of floods. The concept is proving successful at saving lives and properties. This presentation hopes to provide useful guidance for other parts of Nepal as well as other countries facing a similar problem.
