Using a toy that is a ubiquitous symbol of childhood in many cultures, this presentation explores how LEGO can be used as a tool to engage children in DRR and proposes the concept of geo-referenced LEGO mapping. This provided a platform for dialogue between children and outside stakeholders and enabled children to learn, communicate, and play an active role in DRR.
