Soka Gakkai International (SGI)

This booth will present an emerging stakeholder in DRR.

After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, academics and faith-based organizations local faith leaders, including Soka Gakkai International, formed an interfaith platform called "Japan Religion Coordinating Project for Disaster Relief." Many experiences and lessons have been shared in its meetings. Thanks to those lessons, they have played more substantial roles in recent disasters.

This booth showcases those works on the ground and help viewers think about their involvement in DRR in each part of the world.
