Media training

The media training will take place as part of national IDDR celebrations. The focus of the training is on shifting the perspective of media from covering disasters and their consequences towards DRR and causes of disasters. In addition, the training will look at ways to promote inclusive DRR action and highlight the experiences of marginalized people, including people living with disability. The media training will cover the following thematic areas:

1. What is DRR
2. How to cover disasters from a DRR perspective: "Towards a new approach to disasters from consequences to causes"
3. How to report on disasters to serve community needs
