Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall guidance of the Programme Officer, Bonn Office, the consultant would have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Compile and review all necessary materials to be used for the development of the E-learning materials
- Propose different options of E-learning solutions that could be considered for developing capacities in SFM and associated disaster loss data accounting
- Support the procurement process of services for developing the e-learning solution including preparation of Request for Proposal (RFPs) and review of submissions.
- Advise on the quality of deliverables as submitted by the vendor selected.
- Improve and redesign presentation packages to be used at training workshops
- Develop a training plan for Member States and other users in supporting the Sendai Framework Monitoring process
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications/special skills
Academic Qualifications: Advanced University degree in pedagogy, information technology, social science, international development, or related field. A first level university degree with a combination of relevant academic qualifications and experience may be accepted.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive work in training, capacity development, instruction design and/or related fields is required, including specific expertise in developing on-line training solutions. Excellent analytical and digital communications skills are required.
Language: Fluency in English (speaking and writing skills) is required and knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
