This paper presents UNISDR proposal for the Rio+20 United Nations Sustainable Development Conference. It addresses: (i) the expectations for the outcome of Rio+20, the concrete proposals in this regard, including views on a possible structure of the Outcome document; (ii) the comments on existing proposals; (iii) the views on implementation and the implementation gap, as well as relevant actors involvement; and (iv) the cooperation mechanisms, partnership arrangement or other implementation tools envisaged, and the relevant time frame for the proposed decisions to be reached and actions to be implemented. More specifically, it also discusses: (v) the objective of the conference; (vi) the green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication; and (vii) The institutional framework for sustainable development.
