Innovative Actions on Build Back Better: Unpacking International and Local Cooperation Experiences

Lessons on recovery suggest that impacted societies can increase resilience if they are prepared and better equipped to build back better. In this regard, the Sendai Framework encourages strengthening of capacity for recovery actions and putting in place effective systems for decision-making prior to the onset of disaster. Panellists from countries, a donor, and international organizations to share concrete cases and actions undertaken to promote cooperation, coordination, communication, funding, and human resources to ensure build back better in the recovery processes. It will answer the question: How does build back better connect with DRR from the view of local actors and international supporters?
