Women's rights and leadership in DRR

This booth will demonstrate why women’s rights matter in DRR and how ActionAid and partners have supported women across the world to take up leadership positions within their community to design, implement and oversee DRR interventions.

This includes the efforts of women and local women’s organizations/committees to hold disaster management authorities to account and consider their inputs and suggestions.

Community women leaders, ActionAid staff and partners will be present in the booth to provide explanations, provide publications, and display videos and photos on women’s leadership in DRR.
