The presentation will introduce examples of geospatial information technology applications in disaster risk reduction, including : collaboration with academia on a massive data sharing project; public-private-academia collaboration to test tsunami warnings in high risk areas of Japan; ‘drone schools’ to bring capacity and access to risk information to the larger population.
