Register to attend the Global Platform
Participants are invited to register online through the "Proceed to Register" link above. An automated email with an ID reference number will be sent confirming receipt of the request. All applications will be reviewed by the conference secretariat. A confirmation of successful registration will be sent to approved delegates. The review process may take up to four weeks.
Who can attend
Given the multi-stakeholder approach of the Global Platform, participants from the following groups are invited to register: Member States, Parliamentarians, Local Governments, United Nations system entities, Intergovernmental Organizations, Major Groups and other stakeholder groups.
The Government of Switzerland will offset a major fraction of the carbon emissions resulting from the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2019 including the flights of the participants.
On-site Registration and Badging
On-site registration will be open Sunday 12 May 12:00-17:00, Monday 13 to Thursday 16 May 07:30-18:00 and Friday 17 07:30-12:00.
Security checks will be carried out at the conference center each time you enter the venue. Participants may collect their security identification badges at the registration desks upon presentation of one of the following identification documents issued by a UN recognized country in Latin text:
- Valid national passport or ID;
- Valid picture identification card;
- Valid picture residency card; or
- Valid picture drivers licence.
Photo badges must be worn at all times to gain access to the conference venue and meeting rooms.
