The purpose of the MHEWC-II is to highlight the role that national governance plays in the implementation and sustainability of multi-hazard early warning systems, taking into account the fundamental information on all risk dimensions (hazard, exposure, vulnerability and coping/adaptive capacity), regulatory frameworks and policies, institutional partnerships, and ensuring that warnings are received, well understood and actionable by the intended audience.
