Theme: An integrated platform for sustainable development and building resilience
Representatives of the Central Asian and South Caucasus countries, stakeholder groups and development and humanitarian partners will gather in Yerevan, Armenia, 26-27 June 2018, for the Sub-Regional Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction. The Conference will reflect on three years into the implementation of the Sendai Framework, focus on the next steps and strengthening coherent implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
There will be a review of progress made against the commitments at the 2016 First Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Central Asia and South Caucasus held in Dushanbe and an opportunity to exchange and move forward on local level resilience, economic risks and reaching the Sendai Framework 2020 priority targets.
