"Giving Back To Japan 2," which took place on 16 May 2012, was supported by the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce and Tohoku Planning Forum, supported by 16 national chambers of commerce and Hitotsubashi University ICS. The discussion was led by Television and radio presenter Peter Barakan on community rebuilding in the tsunami and earthquake-hit Tohoku region in Japan.
The Tohoku Planning Forum seeks to connect Japanese and international practitioners and an interested public in Tokyo with activists, citizen groups and professionals. Their goal is to create a broader, more inclusive vision-making process for the long-term revitalisation of Japan's disaster-struck Tohoku as well as other regions, marked by similar structural problems.
