Disaster risk and climate change

This brochure promotes the integration by the ISDR system of climate change and disaster risk reduction agendas in order to assist governments and other parties to reduce climate related vulnerabilities and risk through the following measures:

- Use the guidance of the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015: Building the Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disasters,
- Scale-up the use of existing disaster risk reduction tools,
- Ensure adaptation to climate change and disaster risk reduction are integrated into development planning in all sectors, and
- Improve capacities and services for knowledge transfer from science to practice and application.
