R!SE: program summary

The R!SE program summary is an overview of R!SE Initiative activities as a global response to a daunting global challenge. It is a new way of collaborating, on a global scale, to unlock the potential for public and private sector actors who are ready and willing to make a step forward and take leadership on disaster risk reduction.

The R!SE Initiative is structured around 8 Activity Streams with the aim to deliver tools, recommendations and good practice to implement comprehensive disaster risk management for investments. The program describes 8 identified streams of improvement which can be materialized through concrete projects and activities and transformed into outcomes to create shared value. It illustrates the 8 Activity Streams and the leaders in charge of the coordination of the projects. Each Activity Stream has been developed to welcome a number of other contributors interested in bringing expertise, knowledge, experience as well as financial resources.
