This study provides comprehensive analysis of the impact of natural hazards on infrastructure and discusses possibilities to improve its resilience and prevent disasters. It presents several disaster risk management measures to reduce risks caused by wind load, snow and ice avalanche, rock fall, landslide, impulse wave, earthquake, forest fire and flood.
The study describes effective technological solutions for improving infrastructural defence.
