Common format for submission of country documents / Formato común para la presentación de los documentos país

The Common Format suggests a standardized structure and related guidelines for the development of country documents which are intended to provide a comprehensive overview of the status of disaser risk reduction (DRR) in the country, and identifying a set of recommendations for areas of intervention. The country documents are important reference document for the design of policies and strategies, the planning and implementation of DRR activities, and decision making for action by representatives of national systems, organizations and institutions that work on DRR in the country and international cooperation agencies. This document is geared towards national, sub national and local disaster risk reduction stakeholders, donors, and international organizations.

The common format was developed by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) and The Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department of the European Commission (ECHO) as a guide for policymakers and relevant national partners and stakeholders involved with Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in country or those updating their respective country documents in order to establish a national reference to boost policy and decision making for DRR and achieve sustainable development.
