Regional analysis on disaster risk reduction (DRR) education in the Asia Pacific region

This regional analysis reviews progress in the Asia-Pacific region towards achieving the expected outcomes of the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA)’s Priority 3: using knowledge, innovation and education to build a culture of safety and resilience at all levels. The analysis not only reflects national assessments of HFA implementation, but also takes a critical look at progress made in Asia-Pacific by UNISDR and its partners in implementing the Bangkok Action Agenda.

Jointly developed by its regional and national partners, the document provides a region-specific approach towards implementing HFA. It lays out five areas for the region to focus on, and which would enable it to achieve the results aimed at for Priority 3.
