Town watching handbook for disaster education: enhancing experiential learning

This hanbook aims at being used as a tool to reduce urban risk in small and medium sized cities by local schools, students, teachers, parents, resident associations and local government members, by watching both good and bad (vulnerable) parts of their cities. Through collective watching and participatory mapping, it intends to facilitate the engagement of school children and communities in risk reduction activities.

This book is the collective fruit of town watching exercises in Japan, India, Malaysia and Vietnam.
