International day for disaster reduction 2007

This brochure seeks to promote disaster resilience in schools and through schools as part of the World Campaign focusing on promoting the safety of school buildings and the mainstreaming of disaster risk reduction (DRR) into school curricula or at least school activities, which is in its second year.

The International Day for Disaster Reduction aims to raise the profile of disaster risk reduction and encourage every citizen and government to take part in building more resilient communities and nations.
