Building resilience to tsunami in the Indian Ocean: action research, IEC and practices

This report on Project Selamat, aimed at building community level coping capacities towards long-term resilience as a direct implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA), describes the activities of academic institutions working with NGOs and governments on a collaborative model of a locally appropriate process of institutionalizing risk reduction. It covers the period from September 2007 to March 2009.
