21-26 Jul 2013
Australia (Melbourne, Victoria)
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre

This conference will offer a world class technical program encompassing traditional IGARSS topics and new topics reflecting the theme of the 2013 conference, "Building a sustainable earth through remote sensing." The theme was selected to emphasize the issues that most affect the Earth's environment, and the human impact on the planet. The conference will include the following sessions:

  • Coastal hazards and landslides

  • Satellite sensing of oceans winds

  • Hazard/disaster mapping

  • Earthquake and crustal movement

  • Tsunamis and flooding

  • Volcanism

  • Ocean color and water quality

  • Active and passive sensing of ocean winds, wave fields and propagation

  • Spaceborne observations of hurricanes and air-sea interaction

  • Dynamics of earth processes and climate change

  • Remote sensing in agriculture

  • Water related disasters

  • Forest degradation
