Second international symposium on geo technical engineering for the preservation of monuments and historic sites

The conservation of monuments and historic sites is one of the most challenging problems facing modern civilization. It involves a number of factors belonging to different fields (cultural, humanistic, social, technical, economical, administrative), intertwining in inextricable patterns. The possibility of finding in practice an acceptable equilibrium is linked to the development of a shared culture.

Preliminary programme

• Opening lecture- Geotechnical engineering and conservation of heritage
• Keynote lecture- What lies beneath: local site conditions and seismic risk assessments of architectural heritage
• Invited lecture- The influence of the subsoil in the urban development of Naples

Event fee

Price, member- 350 euro, non member- 400 euro, student- 180 euro, early bird, member- 300 euro, non member- 350 euro, student- 180 euro

What is included in the event fee

Conference proceedings, attendance at all scientific sessions, coffee breaks and lunches, social dinner on May 30th 2013 (additional tickets for the social dinner are available at extra cost)
