An introduction to geospatial technologies and their role in public safety and homeland security management and practice. It provides a hands-on approach to using geographic information systems(GIS) and data from satellite imagery, aerial photographs to develop and manage local and regional public safety and homeland security tasks and assist in the decision-making processes. You will develop knowledge of concepts and use of geospatial technology to create and manage geospatial data and perform basic spatial analysis in order to effectively perform a host of multi-faceted task pertaining to public safety and homeland security issues.
