The Economic and Social Commission of Asia Pacific (ESCAP), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will organize a consultation workshop with governments, research institutes, NGOs, UN and development partners from South Asian countries on accelerating the MDGs and inputs to the Post-2015 Development Agenda. A part of the discussion was on the linkage between disaster and the MDGs in the region and how reducing and managing disaster risks and climate change should be considered in the new development agenda. The results will contribute to both the Asia Pacific Regional Report on the MDGs and Post-2015 Development Agenda and the Pos-HFA.
