The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is organizing an Expert Group Meeting on Building E-Resilience through ICT and Space Technology.
The objective of the meeting is to review best practices in using ICT connectivity and space technology for the resilient development of the Asia-Pacific region, and will include updates since the ESCAP Expert Consultation held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 5-6 September 2012. The second session will focus on "Regional cooperation on geospatial information management for disaster risk reduction and sustainable development".
The Fourth Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction will take place in Geneva, Switzerland in May 2013.
