On the International Day for Disaster Reduction, women from the Participatory Development Action Program are holding a local level dialogue with authorities and stakeholders to share the risks women have identified in the slums to gain support for local action.

Driven by the theme Women and Girls: the [in]Visible Force of Resilience, International Day for Disaster Reduction (IDDR) 2012 draws attention to what women and girls are doing to reduce disasters risks in their homes, communities, and societies.
