CCOUC humanitarian week to commemorate the International Day for Disaster Reduction

To commemorate the United Nations International Day for Disaster Reduction on the 13th October 2012, the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (CCOUC) joins hands with the BSc Public Health and MPH student societies of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to organize a range of activities in the CUHK main campus.

The objectives of the Humanitarian Week 2012 are to:

Promote the cause of humanitarianism among CUHK students and encourage them to participate in humanitarian actions
Connect academics with other stakeholders to raise awareness and improve effectiveness of medical humanitarian response

A number of activities, including exhibitions, lunch time seminars, movie night, and a multidisciplinary dialogue, will be organized during the week.
