CSB 2012 world conference

The main theme of the Conference is Leading from the Edge encompassing the sub-themes: Creativity, Collaboration and Sustainability. There will be a symposium on SME Disaster Recovery and Risk Management which will examine how small businesses can be better prepared and how government-funded agencies can best support small firms in disaster recovery. The symposium will draw on contributions from around the world including Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

The symposium will also discuss the role of SMEs in disaster recovery and will capture the main theme of the conference Leading from the Edge. For example the experience of SMEs in Victoria, Australia and Christchurch, New Zealand will provide lessons in how SMEs have been able to lead recovery from natural disasters helping to rebuild local economies.
