General objectives of the conference

To establish a link between scientists, society and decision-makers in order to develop integrated risk management, by encouraging the exchange of experiences and knowledge regarding volcanic henomena, its impact on society and environment, and by improving risk reduction measures. This will be obtained through joint sessions and the discussion of common problems.

This new meeting promises to continue the objective to unite the full spectrum of groups who participate in the mitigation of volcanic risk.
