Academia, science and technology in DRR

This booth will showcase the research outcomes and case studies developed through partnerships of multiple stakeholders such as academia, the private sector, communities, UN agencies as well as governments.

It will be managed by the International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS), Tohoku University in Japan, which contributes to on-going recovery/reconstruction efforts in the affected areas, conducting action-oriented research, and pursuing effective disaster management to build sustainable and resilient societies, hence to engender the culture of disaster-resiliency incorporating into our social systems.
