DISASTER AND RISK REDUCTION ACTIVITIES
Delft is investing in awareness raising campaigns. Pluvial flood risk is addressed in research projects and policy trajectories to devise and assess local measures. Monitoring and maintenance programmes are ongoing to safeguard the strength of the secondary dykes. Delft contributes to the National Delta Programme on coastal flooding. Delft hosts many world renown research and education institutes. These organisations support the DRR activities of the City of Delft. They seek to disseminate and apply their knowledge around the world and the City aims to facilitate this.
