World Meteorological Day: reducing vulnerability to weather and climate extremes - statement by Kenzo Oshima, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs

In order to reduce vulnerability, we must forge an effective interface between disaster response and disaster reduction and between the various partners mandated for these activities. In doing so, we need to focus our support to the women and men with chronic vulnerability from developing countries and communities.
