National Platforms for Advancing Disaster Risk Reduction at National Level Workshop, 31 August-02 September 2009, Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina)

Bosnia-Herzegovina HFA Focal Point (Ministry of Security), in collaboration with UNDP Bosnia-Herzegovina (RC Office), UNISDR Europe and CADRI, organized the National Platforms on Advancing Disaster Risk Reduction at National Level workshop in Sarajevo.
The workshop was attended by the Italian National Platform (Italian Civil Protection) that shared its experiences and challenges in addressing disaster risk reduction (DRR) and in developing a National Platform in Italy.

The aim of this workshop was to understand the topic of DRR and the nature, scope and importance of national platforms as a mechanism for advancing in DRR at national and regional levels in the context of the HFA.
