Good practices and lessons learned on disaster risk reduction
(DRR) along the lines of the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA)
are particularly welcome to identify DRR successful initiatives
that can be adapted and replicated in other countries. Articles
or opinion pieces about projects, activities, programs, educational
initiatives, scientific and technical papers are also strongly
encouraged , as is news about upcoming workshops, seminars,
meetings, publications, videos, CD-ROMs and other material
related to disasters.
Submissions may include photographs, graphs, charts, and
other illustrations. However, they should not exceed 1,500
words. Brevity is appreciated in order to display the broadest
possible spectrum of ideas and case histories. When using
acronyms of national and even regional bodies please quote
the name of the agency or institution in full the first time
you mention it. It is also essential for you to include at
the end of your text, the following information:
- The name of a contact to which further enquires may be directed,
- The institution represented, and
- Telephone and fax numbers, postal address, and e-mail
address.
