Towards a Post-2015 framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and ResilienceThe consultation process for a Post-2015 framework was officially launched in March 2012 by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Ambassador for Japan to the International Organizations in Geneva. UNISDR is involved in the consultations at all levels.
Rio+20 and Disaster Risk ReductionDisaster Risk Reduction was an emerging issue for Rio+20 and was highlighted in the outcome document - The Future We Want. Goverments called for disaster risk reduction and the building of resilience to disasters to be addressed in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication.
